Jacket Weather (a Halloween poem)

The leaves are starting to fall.
Jacket weather is finally here.
A smile appears on every kid and even adult who refuses
to grow up as Halloween costumes and decorations fill up
the store aisles and neighborhood shops.
Classic horror movies splash on the TV screen at mid-night.
Ghosts, Goblins, Devils, and Witches.
Vampires, Werewolves, Mummies, and other
haunting things that give us fright.
Entertain our fear of the unknown as
we scream in delight.

There's Just Something About Hank (New Poem)

Country music, I normally don't listen to it.
The only Country music that I actually like is that
of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings.
Hank Williams Sr. on the other hand is a different story.
At  first I thought his voice was a little bit too twangy.
But after awhile it starts to sink in.
You start to realize the beauty in it.
You feel it and know it.
There's something real about it.
That's when you start to listen to it again.
